The newest addition to our family...

Meet Franklin!

Ever since Nick and I got married he has been dying to get a dog. However, living in the basement apartment of someone Else's home doesn't exactly give you that option. So pretty much the second we moved into our new home we were searching on KSL for a pup (we were looking before we moved but it was just wishful thinking at that point). We'd find cute puppies but nothing we were exactly sold on.

About a week after we moved in I was talking to my dad and he told me that his sister's dog just had puppies. They were a mix between Red and Blue Heelers which was exactly what we were looking for! And the best part is that she was GIVING them away. So we jumped in the car and headed up to Heber to check them out. When we got up there and started holding them and playing with them, Franklin just sort of captured our hearts. He seemed a lot more relaxed than the other one and a lot more trusting.

So far having a dog has been a mix of emotions. He can be a lot of work and responsibility but I love him to death! How can you not? He is stinkin adorable!

Entering Blogger Land

Nick and I just got married 5 months ago and I was determined not to be like every other newlywed out there and start a blog. I have nothing against blogs in fact I love to look at my friends blogs. I just wasn't sure that if I started one I'd ever update it. Well after much consideration I decided to start a blog for two reasons. 1. I suck at writing in my journal so hopefully this will be a better way for me to "journal" all the adventures that lie ahead. and 2. My in-laws live 2,140 miles away (in beautiful North Carolina) so I thought having a blog would be a good way for them to keep updated on what Nick and I are up to. So... Here goes nothing!
