Until next year, summer...

I'm sad to see that summer is coming to an end but I can't lie, I'm loving this fall weather. Nick and I had a fun, crazy, interesting summer. We worked a lot, bought a house, got a dog, spent time with friends and family, re-roofed our garage, replaced our water heater, went horseback riding, and much more! Here are some of our highlights...

Real Game

Franklin testing out the Bike... I think he likes it

If this doesn't make you smile, I don't know what will!

I was laying there, minding my own business and Franklin crawled up behind me and spooned my neck. It was hilarious.

Our garage right after the boys took off the old roof

Joe (Nick's uncle) and Jim (Nick's dad) trying to figure out a game plan for putting the new roof on.

Clay being... Clay

Our new roof!

The boys relaxing after all their hard work

Apparently you can take dogs into Lowe's ... I had no idea!

Franklin enjoying his ride

Beautiful fall colors

The whole group getting ready to head out on our ride through the mountains

Behind Nick is an old mine

MOOSE'S!
a dad, mom and baby

My Husband is a cowboy at heart, and a cute one at that!

When we got back up to the top of Snowbird, this is what we saw...

Thanks Dad for taking us on the AWESOME horseback ride! and Happy Birthday! We love you!

Oh Nick....

This is what happens when I ask my husband to smile for a picture...

I swear, there is never a dull moment with this one.

California Baby!

It's a tradition for my mom and I to go to California every summer to visit my cousin and his family and of course...hit the beach!! Last year we weren't able to go and so when I found out that I had a few days off in a row from work, we jumped at the idea of being able to go. Unfortunately that meant that I had to be away from Nick on my birthday, but we had a great time and Nick was very understanding (I think secretly he was excited to have a few days of alone time).

I love Cali so much! We went swimming in my cousins pool, hit the beach... a couple times, ate at Ruby's diner on Balboa Pier, watched a bazillion lifeguards run down the beach, had a BBQ, played with my cousin's adorable children, and had some good mother daughter time. Unfortunately every time we went to the beach it was pretty chilly but I didn't even care! I was just happy to be there.
